Chapter 3: Adventure-Rules & Regulations!

Rue
"So honey," Ms. Adile said, smiling sweetly at me, "What would you like your adventure to be about?"
"Eh?" I shouted, surprised, "Shouldn't we just go out and wander around and save the world? I don't get to actually choose my adventure, or do I?" I shook in my seat, vibrating with excitement.
"Shhhh..." Ms. Adile put a finger to her lips and glanced over to Azura who was sleeping on a couch next to her. "You'll wake Azura up. Now, what I mean Rue, is that Neeria is your world. You have dreamt up this place so you can dream up an adventure. I am your guide. My goal is to help you complete your adventure, but to do so, you first have to have an adventure. Make sense?" She put a hand on my shoulder, and I immediately calmed down.
I nodded slowly. "I can make my own adventure if I dream it up. So, if I concentrate hard enough, can I make money appear out of thin air?"
"No, no dearie. That is because am the writer." Ms. Adile corrected. "If anything is to come true, you will have to tell me, and I will put it down in The Book,"
"Oh." I frowned, disappointed, "What's 'The Book?'"
"'The Book' is a very ancient book that doesn't exist in physical form. It is this world, and everything in it. But, I can add to 'The Book' by turning my crank in a special way only I know. It is a very special technique that is passed down in our kind,"
"Hmmm..." I pondered. "So, does Azura know? And why doesn't he have a hand-cranked music player like you?"
"He will, know, in time. As for the second question, we get to choose our instruments. Enough questions, what will be your adventure?"
I blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "I want to save the world from Global Warming!" Ms. Adile turned her crank slowly and a happy tune came out. I smiled and swayed to the music but stopped and frowned as the music turned dark and gloomy then abruptly stopped.
"Oh dear!" Ms. Adile whispered, and sadly looked up at me. "I'm afraid there will be great hardships in your adventure. The music has stopped, and that means you will lose something or someone very important to you. Be careful, and don't get too attached to any one thing."
I shivered, remembering the ominous and creepy music. That was one thing I never wanted to hear again. "Ms. Adile, since you're the writer, wouldn't you be able to know what happens?" I braced myself for her answer, and it was not the comforting words I wanted to hear.
"Of course not, dear! I only enter the request, and The Book decides what to do with the rest. Like that music there." She gave a weak smile and patted my back. "Now, now; don't be so pessimistic! This is your adventure! Have fun! Make friends! And most important of all, 'save the world!'" Ms. Adile winked and leaned back, resting into the couch. "Now, shall I send you into the world?"
I sat there and took a moment to put facts together. "Ummm, Ms. Adile, do I get new clothes? I'm still in my pajama's..."
"Oh, yes! Dearie, I almost forgot! Step into the wishing room and wish for a new outfit," She pushed me towards the door and shoved me inside, closing it behind me.
I walked to the middle of the room, and closed my eyes. "I wish for a new outfit!" I opened my eyes and looked down. I was now wearing a black collar around my neck, that had a soft, red fabric flowing from it. The fabric came down around my knees, then curled in a little bit. My hair, which was curled around my face before, was tied with a black ribbon and had streaks of red dye running through. My arms had on the same soft fabric which had black bands on each end. But they got wider as they ran towards the ends. I also wore boots that went up below the knee. They were a dark crimson red with black soles. "Cool..." I muttered to my self, stumbling out of the room admiring  my new outfit. Ms. Adile turned and stood up to greet me. Azura stood at her feet and stared up at me, his mouth forming an "o".
"Woooaaaaahhhh, Zura! You're looking awesome, Zura!" Azura banged his drum, bouncing up and down around me.
"Thanks, Azura!" I smiled down at the energetic child. Ms. Adile stood there awkwardly, letting me absorb the moment. I realized she was waiting for me to say something to her. "So," I grinned, "How do I look?'
"You look splendid." She said simply.
"Is this really what they wear every day?" I asked skeptically.
"Yes. This is a different world than the one you left, Rue,"
I nodded and patted Azura's head, then turned back to face Ms. Adile. "I'm ready." She gave short, curt nod and put her right hand on my shoulder. With her left hand, she turned the crank with impossible speed.
Azura shouted out a quick, "Bye, Zura!" And everything went black.

Chapter 21: A New Adventure

Sari
"OMG! This stuff is awesome! I haven't eaten like this for like, like, like, 3 days!" I gasped, stuffing bananas and bread into my mouth, chewing without tasting the food.
"It's only been 1 day, Sari." Ayumu chucked, slowly chewing a strawberry. "We found Hemu and Muri yesterday a long with Ryuu, remember? That was the night when Ryuu told his story." I nodded and Muri burst out, "Hey, for our adventure, we should look for Ryuu's parents!"
"Good idea!" I shouted, giving Muri a high-five.
"No, no." Ryuu said, shaking his head. "That is too much to ask!"
"No way!" Hemu responded, spitting out bread pieces and fruit chunks as he spoke. "I'm so ready for adventure!" He said as a partially chewed banana and bread found its way onto Ryuu's face."
Ayumu and I laughed, while Ryuu wiped it off his face, smiling. "Okay, if you say so, he said, smiling."

Chapter 2:The Dragon Rider

Walluki
I walked all over the streets, stepping on more people. I grinned a face of absolute delight. Re-venge! Re-venge! I chanted. But of course, no one could understand me. To people, it sounded like a growl, or a roar. So the Chinese began to scream as they ran. I crawled quickly throughout nearby streets. Gotta make this job quick, or else I'll get caught and killed, like Dwaquel. I stopped. Looking around, I saw many destroyed buildings. (Step two, check!)
I crawled slowly back to Mt.Fuji, dragging my feet. The third step was next. I thought about how I would sleep a good night tonight. My first full sleep in three years.
I started my long climb up the mountain, my claws digging in the grooves. I stopped and smelt the raw meat one last time. And caught the smell of... a human? On the mountain? I froze, and remebered Dwaquel. They could be trying to hunt me down. Oh yeah, I forgot, quietly... But wait, I smell... one human? Only one? Weird. Don't people need reinforcement? Especially when a dragon is your opponent, but, oh well. One human couldn't do that much harm. I'd just kill them when I got there and be done with it. Easy.
(>vv<)
I stalked the human. I could clearly see it was a girl. She was rummaging through my cave, looking for something. After a few seconds, she shouted, "Ah-ha!" and held up a scale. Dwaquel's scale. It was the only thing I had left to remember Dwaquel.
I growled in rage and forgot to keep quiet. The girl turned around in surprise. Her face lit up in delight. What? Why in the world is she smiling?
"Because I'm happy." the girl said, answering.
You can understand me? I growled, (I was still mad about her touching Dwaquel's scale.)
"Yeah; weird, huh? I thought people couldn't understand dragons."
I shook my head. This is madness, you're not supposed to understand me! And put Dwaquel's scale down!
"Oh, this?" she held up Dwaquel's scale. "I was gonna take it, but if it's that special to you, I'll put it away." The mysterious girl placed it back in the cave. "Oh, and who's Dwaquel? Is he here?" She looked around, then looked back at me.
I turned me head, facing the other way. What should I tell her? He-
"It's okay if you don't wanna tell me," the girl said, smiling, "By the way, my name's Ganryu. Fancy meeting a dragon like you. Tell me, can you breathe green fire?"
I stared at her, surprised at how easily she changed the subject. Ummm, yeah... I am the green fire dragon after all.
"Cool!" Ganryu shouted, "So, friends? As dragon and dragon rider?"
Dragon rider? I barely knew this girl, and she wanted to ride me?
"Yep, we'll go on awesome adventures, c'mon." she pleaded.
Okay... I shrugged, then nodded.

Chapter 13: The Adventure Begins

Sari
"Where is he? Where could those two boys possible be?"
"Wait what?" I said, forcing my eyes open.
Those two boys went missing, and boy, when I get my hands on them; they are gonna PAY for making me worry." Hemu and Muri's mom said. "Tell me, have you seen my boys?"
"Nope." I said, backing away. This woman was becoming D-A-N-G-E-R-O-U-S. I scrambled out of bed, not completely aware of the situation yet. Then it hit me. The "two boys" that "Momma DANGEROUS" was talking about were Hemu and Muri!
"Oh my goodness." I said, taking in the situation. "OH MY GOODNESS." I say louder, in almost a shouting voice. "OH. MY. GOLLY. GOSH." I say, shouting now.
"What is it?" said Mommy she-creeps-me-out.
"They're missing." I say, gasping out the words.
"Yes? What of it? We've been fully aware of that. FOR TWO WHOLE HOURS." says Momma crazy-woman.
"Oh." I say, getting up. I grab Charismi, put her on my head, pull on a coat, and jump out the door.
"Oh, and where do you think you're going?" says Mommy A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E.
"To find them!" I shout back at her, running out the door.
"Yeah!" she says, tears coming to her eyes, "And you think you'll find him? Impossible! We've been searching for those two for-for-two whole hours!" she shouts after me, sobbing.
But I can't hear her, cause I'm in the woods now, pulling Ayumu with me, searching for "those two." I laugh joyfully, but I don't know until later how much trouble I just got myself into.
