Chapter 6: Faint Hearted

“Charismi!” she suddenly yelled when her mouth was uncovered. “Is this your dragon?” the man in the front asked. “Yes, sir,” Sari answered. “It is well tamed,” the man said to Sari, then to the guards, “Release her!” “Yes, sir!” they said, quickly untying her bonds. Sari stood up with confusion, picked Charismi up in her hands and walked out the door. When she walked outside, there was a town. Why hadn’t she seen that before? Right in front of Sari. She looked up, and as if things couldn’t get any worse; the dragon spoke, “Hello miss, you left this sweater of yours back at the court,” The dragon handed her the sweater. Sari looked at the dragon, then the sweater, and then she looked at the dragon again. “Well,” said the dragon, “What you waiting for, take it!” and he shoved the sweater towards her. His claw brushed her tattered sleeve, and Sari goggled at the arm; then fainted.

“Ugh!” the dragon groaned, “I hate it when people do that!” “Now, now, Barton; don’t worry,” said his owner Benny, climbing down from his back. “I told you!” Barton said thrusting his hand towards Sari, “I told you I’m am NOT for delivery services to the faint hearted.” “Anyhow,” said Benny, sighing. “Let’s get her somewhere safe, shall we?” And with that, Benny carried Sari aboard and they flew to his house.
